Any Mothers Day, chocolate is the answer to the question What to get Mum? You can say I love you with chocolate, because Mum loves chocolate, and all she wants for Mothers Day is CHOCOLATE. Were you to ask your mum to tell you about the first time she encountered chocolate, the stories would be full of joy, celebration and treasured memories. You may even find out the truth, that Mum is a chocoholic and secretly stashes her bars and boxes in the back of her lingerie drawer. That she is inordinately fond of chocolate – dangerously so – and totally addicted. Chocolate to
her is both an incentive and a reward and there doesn’t need to be a reason at all to indulge. Mum may even confess that as a teenager she decided to try to rid herself of her chocolate habit by eating nothing but chocolate for a week in the hope of becoming so sick of it that she wouldn’t want to eat it again. She may have managed a week of chocolate exclusively but, unfortunately, only three weeks of abstinence after! Mum may confess that she always carries chocolate with her and constantly drip-feeds throughout her day. She may secretly prefer to eat chocolate solo so that she doesn’t have to share with others and therefore exercise portion control.
