40 years... Wow. It’s time to pick that new pizza (The No. 40) for our menu! As part of our 40th birthday celebrations, we are giving our customers that chance to create and name our first new pizza in nearly 10 years. Some of the suggestions are in true Byron style and are really making us think ‘will that group of ingredients really work’?

The No. 14 is one of our most popular pizzas. It was given this name because up until then there were only 13 pizzas on the menu. Makes sense of course. Some of the group of locals who sat in the Jonson Street shop and came up with this combination of ingredients still love coming in for it to this day. Banana, pineapple and prawns!

Come in and grab a form to fill in or apply online: www.earthnsea.com.au/signup

Are you an Earth ’n’ Sea staff member from way back? Do you still have a staff t-shirt or a photo from then? Wear that t-shirt or bring in that photo on our anniversary week of 15–19 August, and we will give you free pizza!

When you look at our menu though and look beyond the usual or the expected, there are pizzas that could only possibly have been created in Byron Bay. Old customers tell us that they believe that back in the day the No. 5, The Mullumbimby Madness, was named after its green ingredient, which was NOT capsicum. Back then it was advertised as a vegetarian pizza with real flavour and is still an amazingly popular pizza, in spite of having that ingredient replaced!

From 1 August this will replace all other discounts so the quicker you apply and get that barcode the quicker you will get your discounts and freebies. We will also send you a voucher for free pizza for your birthday.

Nor East Drinks Whoever thought that this group of ingredients would work together, was right! The No. 13, The Beethoven, is loved by so many regulars, both locals and visitors alike. There’s a local lady who, when she goes away to Hawaii on holiday, gets the local pizza place to make this for her and another couple who visit regularly from Melbourne who get straight off the plane and make straight for The Beethoven! Why is it called The Beethoven you ask? Because it is made with Ba-na-na-naas. (You did just sing that didn’t you?) The No. 21, The Staffies, is now the most popular pizza on our menu which is in true Byron style given

40 pizzas to be won! Complete and hand in the form and we will draw the winner on Friday 19 August. Pick up the form when you are next in town or enter online.

that it’s a vegetarian pizza. Every night when we finish work we have a couple of slices of staff pizza. Every so often we mix up the ingredients and this is how this pizza was created. For the regular couple who have differing teams during the State of Origin series (she’s from NSW and he’s from QLD) this pizza, ordered as a take away, settles them down for the game. The Staffies is also our most popular vegan option and the most popular pizza made on a glutenfree base. We couldn’t discuss unusual pizzas without talking about the No. 20, The Krakatoa. Hot and spicy and not for the faint-hearted. The recipe is still the original one but there is a big group of local lads who don’t think it’s spicy enough anymore so we have some ‘special’ chili that we add just for them. Ask for this special chili if your chili tolerance has outgrown the heat of the Krakatoa. Of course so many of our amazing pizzas only work because of our unique wholemeal dough. No, it’s not Italian (we never claim to be) and no, it’s not traditional but OMG isn’t it an amazing offspring of what pizza would be like if it had been born in Byron Bay?

Earth ’n’ Sea Amazing Pizza Byron Bay. It’s more than just Pizza, it’s a Byron story.

Congratulations David and Denise on the best pizza in town!
