The minister for coal Greg Hunt spread the Christmas cheer far and wide by approving Adani’s massive coal port at Abbot Point to go with its massive coal mine. In her Soap Box this week Mandy Nolan laments the disappearance of Bangalow thanks to the RTA’s ‘improvements’ to the highway. Bangalow is not the only victim, with the Macadamia Castle suffering from its usual signage problem and drivers generally confused about how to get into Byron Bay without travelling to Brisbane first. The pain is not about to end immediately as the official Byron Bay exits are scheduled for ‘first quarter 2016’, which could be March of course. Q Q Q Q
