• The Bridgeport women’s soccer program claimed the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship with a 1-0 win over Grand Valley St last December • Since 2012, 12 University of Bridgeport student-athletes have earned national CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. • UB softball won its first-ever ECC Championship this past Spring. • UB began play in its new baseball field adjacent to campus in beautiful Seaside Park earlier this year. • The University of Bridgeport women’s gymnastics team has won six of the last 10 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Team Championships.

About Mercy:

Mercy College is a New York metropolitan area college of over 9,000 students studying at five campus locations including: Dobbs Ferry, Bronx, Manhattan, White Plains, Yorktown Heights. • This is the Lions first appearance in the ECC Championship since 2016. Molloy played New York Tech to a 0-0 draw and advanced on penalty kicks in the semifinals. The maroon and white fell to LIU Post, 3-0, in the final. • Seniors Anthony Cestaro, who was the 2016 ECC Rookie of the Year, Paul Morales, and Matt Miller appeared in the postseason. • This is the first year the Lions have won double-digit matches since 2016, when they won 11. • Cestaro set the Molloy all-time assist record (19) in the team’s win over Georgian Court Oct. 23.
