• UB women’s soccer program claimed the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship with a 1-0 win over Grand Valley St. • UB softball won its first-ever ECC Championship last weekend. The Purple Knights went undefeated in the tournament, including two shutouts over nationally ranked LIU Post. • UB recently began play in its new baseball field adjacent to campus in beautiful Seaside Park. • The University of Bridgeport women’s gymnastics team has won six of the last 10 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Team Championships.

• The Queens College baseball team is making its first postseason tournament appearance since 1998, when the Knights won the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) title. Head Coach Chris Reardon was a student-athlete on the QC baseball team at that time. • Through Team IMPACT, the Queens College men’s basketball team recently drafted 14-year old Evan May of Bayside to be the newest member of the QC Knights. • The Queens College women’s cross country team received a Division II Team Academic Award in February for boasting a total grade-point average above 3.2 in the 2018 fall semester.
