About Dowling Founded in 1955 as part of Adelphi University’s Suffolk Campus, the college purchased the former W.K. Vanderbilt estate in Oakdale in 1962. In 1968 the college was renamed after its chief benefactor, Robert Dowling, a noted city planner and aviator. Situated on the banks of the Connetquot River on a former Vanderbilt estate, Dowling’s Rudolph Campus in Oakdale is among the nation’s most beautiful. The 105-acre Brookhaven Center is located on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley and features high-tech learning facilities for a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses. • The St. Thomas Aquinas men’s basketball team played in the 2014 Pre Season NIT. The Spartans went on the road to play Gonzaga on November 22nd. STAC also played at Division I Stony Brook and opened the season with an exhibition game at Division I St. John’s. • Under first year head coach, Tobin Anderson the Spartans entered the post season as the #6 seed making it to the ECC Championship game in 2014. • The St. Thomas Aquinas Baseball team played in the NCAA Div. II World Series last season. • The Spartans have added a women’s field hockey team that will begin competing in the fall of 2015 and a men’s lacrosse team that will compete in the Spring of 2016.

About St. Thomas Aquinas

The College’s 2,000 full and part time undergraduate students major in one of 31 programs offered in five division areas: The Humanitites; Business Administration; Social Sciences; Natrual Sciences & Mathematics; and Teacher Education. The College offers a full scholarship Honors Program which provides studens with a Summer Study experience at Oxford University in England. In addition there are several study abroud opportunities and strategic alliances designed to offer expanded opportunities for students. For example, students can major in mathematics at St. Thomas for three years and then enter a engineering program at either George Washington University or Manhattan College as part of a dual degree program. St. Thomas Aquinas College now fields 16 NCAA Division II sports, is an active member of the NCAA and supports 200 student-athletes. Men’s sports include: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and track & field (indoor and outdoor). • Junior Dina Ragab highlights the NYIT Record Book as she is second all-time in blocks, just 29 shy of tying the school record, and seventh in total rebounds. She is only 114 points shy of a career 1,000 points. • Sophomores Shannon Duer and Julie Williams are quickly climbing the charts. Duer’s currently in the top 10 all-time in field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage, and rebounds. Williams is tied for fifth in three-point field goals made and is in the top 10 for assists. • Head coach Anthony Crocitto is the winningest women’s basketball coach in NYIT history – 85-78 (.521). In six short years, he has turned the program around and making the Bears an ECC and NCAA contender the last four seasons.

• The St. Thomas Aquinas men’s basketball team played in the 2014 Pre Season NIT. The Spartans went on the road to play Gonzaga on November 22nd. STAC also played at Division I Stony Brook and opened the season with an exhibition game at Division I St. John’s. • Under first year head coach, Tobin Anderson the Spartans entered the post season as the #6 seed making it to the ECC Championship game in 2014. • The St. Thomas Aquinas Baseball team played in the NCAA Div. II World Series last season. • The Spartans have added a women’s field hockey team that will begin competing in the fall of 2015 and a men’s lacrosse team that will compete in the Spring of 2016.

The College’s 2,000 full and part time undergraduate students major in one of 31 programs offered in five division areas: The Humanitites; Business Administration; Social Sciences; Natrual Sciences & Mathematics; and Teacher Education. The College offers a full scholarship Honors Program which provides studens with a Summer Study experience at Oxford University in England. In addition there are several study abroud opportunities and strategic alliances designed to offer expanded opportunities for students. For example, students can major in mathematics at St. Thomas for three years and then enter a engineering program at either George Washington University or Manhattan College as part of a dual degree program. St. Thomas Aquinas College now fields 16 NCAA Division II sports, is an active member of the NCAA and supports 200 student-athletes. Men’s sports include: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and track & field (indoor and outdoor). Women’s sports include: basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and track & field (indoor and outdoor). The Spartans’ and Lady Spartan’s teams compete in more than 300 contests annually.
