Exhibition of participating Fortified Ideal Cities During the Initiation Conference for future European cooperation of Fortified Ideal Cities the participating Cities presented their cultural heritage in an exhibition, managed by the University of Daugavpils, leaded from Prof. Henris Soms. Prof. Elita Jermolajeva opened the exhibition. She pointed out, this is the first presentation of the special cultural heritage Fortified Ideal Cities. It shows the attractiveness und the dimension of defence architecture connected with regular disposed city ground plan. The visitors used the forum for individual conversation, exchange of documents and experiences.

Signing of Declaration of Intent In the renovated water tower of Fortified Ideal City Daugavpils, the representatives of participating Fortified Ideal City and of ECCOFORT as well as the guests of conference sign a DECLARATION of INTENT for European Cooperation and Partnership of unique cultural heritage Fortified Ideal Cities. The declaration was developed from ECCOFORT. It is a great acknowledgment, that the president of ICOFORT, Mrs Milagros Flores, signs also the declaration of intent (right).
Zanna Kulakova shows the original document. The declaration set the signal and calls for all other Fortified Ideal Cities in Europe for partnership and cooperation with mutual benefits.

All participants are ready for visiting the historical Fortified Ideal City of Daugavpils, leaded by Artjoms Mahlins, head of building department.
Renovated Water Tower of Daugavpils Fortified Ideal City
City of Daugavpils organised a welcome event in the evening. Daugavpils municipality managed the Initiation Conference perfect and professional.
During the press conference some representatives answers on questions of reporters and gave interviews.
