Application Description

Type DS Disconnect is a compact load break switch using the DE-ION arc quenching principle and quick make-quick break over center toggle mechanism. It has visible contacts, is Underwriters Laboratories listed, and is available either as a fusible or nonfusible switch.

Maximum switch-fuse application based on short circuit current withstand (symmetrical amperes).

UL 98 CSA (See Table 8-138)

Table 8-132. Short Circuit Ratings

Note: Switches through 200 amperes are UL listed as miscellaneous switches; 400 and 600 ampere switches are recognized under the component program of Underwriters Laboratories.
