Reflections From an Alumna Donor

The Pillars of ETBU are East Texas Baptist University’s core, faithful, and committed donors who contribute each month. Consistent monthly gifts sustain and advance the ongoing Christ-centered mission of the University, and over time, make a great impact. One member of the Pillars of ETBU shared a reflection on why she gives.

"While the records might indicate that I have given substantial support to our Alma Mater, the truth is that I have far more consistency than I do capacity. Here is the secret: I'm not as young as I once was, and I have steadily agreed to a modest monthly gift for years. Because the withdrawal is automatic, I barely notice and rarely give it much thought. But when I do think about it, I am very happy with my decision. It feels important to have quietly played a part in helping students attend ETBU through endowed scholarships while also providing contributions toward projects like the Marshall Grand and the Great Commission Center. My name will probably never be written across

the top of a building, but when I notice the pillars in campus pictures, I am reminded that we are building and sustaining the Tiger legacy together."

There are hundreds of alumni, donors, and friends who are giving to ETBU on a monthly basis! Would you like to contribute monthly and become a Pillar of ETBU? Go to www.etbu.edu/pillars or contact Dr. Scott Bryant at 903-923-2069 or sbryant@etbu.edu to learn more.
