What is Eaglesnest Robotics? The Eaglesnest Robotics Club is a Educational outreach organization formed students in the Huntington, WV region. In the year 2011, We have launched 2 Teams this year. A Jr. FIRST® LEGO® League Team (Ages 6-9), and a FIRST® LEGO® League Team (Ages 9-14). We plan to enter our Teams into the local Event held at Marshal University in Dec 2011 and to ultimately compete in the Annual West Virginia FIRST® LEGO® League Robotics Tournament in Wheeling, WV.

We are Exploring young Minds through Science and Technology by giving our students: • a fundamental education and experience in collegiate robotics involving

Our 2010 FLL Team– Robosapiens

Research-finding a problem and identifying a solution using creative thinking and teamwork

Team management– understand teamwork and the benefit of complimentary skills

Project management-Gain expertise in core project management skills and methods using robotics.

Robotic Design

An opportunity to, Experience the hard work of funding our projects through external support resources.

This Years FIRST® Challenges FIRTS® LEGO® League & JR FIRST® LEGO® League: In the 2011 FOOD FACTOR™ and SNACK ATTACK™ challenges, students ages 6-14 from over 55 countries will explore the topic of food safety and examine the possible points of contamination our food encounters – from exposure to insects and creatures, to unsterile processing and transportation, to unsanitary preparation and storage – then find ways to prevent or combat these contaminates. Teams use the LEGO® NXT robotics system.

“Exploring young minds through Science and Technology”

Why you should consider supporting our efforts. These children are our future. This is without a doubt one of the most challenging, engaging programs you will find. Your support will make a huge difference in the future of these bright, engaged and creative young minds.
