H A N D C R A F T E D I TA L I A N AC E TAT E Italy is the birthplace of eyewear and the epicenter of fashion. D’Blanc eyewear is entirely built in Italy by expert artisans, who build each frame from start to finish using traditional methods of manufacturing. Mazzuccelli™ Italian Acetate originates from cotton fibers, which gives eyewear a natural and warm hand-feel. Derived from renewable resources, acetate is non-petroleum based and hypoallergenic. Each sunglass is carved out of richly colored blocks of acetate. Once assembled, it is tumbled with beech and birch wood chips to soften the edges. The final step is an extensive hand polishing process that results in sunglasses with deep colors and textures that cannot be duplicated with other manufacturing methods.
