My Collaborator for the YCN brief was Meryem Meghraoua Our proposal was to launch a fashion exhibition at London Fashion Week, where the collection was made entirely out of Fedrigoni stock. This would showcase the Sirio Color Range and establish Fedrigoni as a fashion label for paper by using similar codes and conventions as it’s targeted audience. My role in the collaboration was to manage type and layout.
This was one of my design ideas for the fashion show, a digitally illustrated version of Meryam’s Fashion illustrations. We eventually decided to go for a more hand illustrated aeshetic.
With images supplied to me by Meryem I designed several layouts for the promotional posters for the exhibtion. Posters
Alongside the promotional material, there will be a look book, which will act as a sample book. This will be something that is given out during the London fashion week and will allow Fedrigoni to showcase and give a better insight into the sirio color range. Included will be all the 21 colors Fedrigoni offers, with a description of the different weights and printing processes that best suit each example. The swatch page and the layout of the entire book was designed by myself whilst Meryem created the illustrations and wrote the text content.
Look Book
The Look book was the main product within this brief, it both showcased the Fedrigion stock and acted as a portsl into the intended audience of the fashion industry by accessing similar themes, in this case a look book and referring to the paper range as a colleciton. It was also where individually most of my work was actually done,
