Qualifications Master of Architecture with First Year Distinction University of Portsmouth, 2011 – Present Soon to complete my final year of study, which has included the exploration of British expositions, leading to my final thesis project in London which has focused upon the economic potential of creative industries. Other units have explored the cultural context of architecture through the discussion of theoretical constructs and the development of individual student manifestos.

Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with First Class Honours University of Portsmouth, 2007 – 2010 This undergraduate study consisted of projects at varying scales such as dwelling, landscape and urban settlements. Fundamental concerns of the environment were addressed and the final year projects engaged with the technical and professional issues in delivering a complex building proposition.

Relevant Work Experience Hampshire County Council, Winchester, Hampshire 2012 With the aim to continue my architectural experience I chose to work during my summer break at Hampshire County Council. Where I was involved in the design of several proposed primary schools, working on sketch models and drawing up feasibility schemes.

PDP Architecture, Havant, Hampshire 2010 – 2011 Obtained ‘Year out’ placement in August of 2010, undertaking a variety of projects which are mainly residential. Achieved knowledge of building regulations and planning issues when liaising with consultants such as structural engineers and various authorities, able to manage responsibilities simultaneously and work together with colleagues on key matters.

Boon Brown Architects, Yeovil, Somerset 2004 & 2010 Working under a number of people for two weeks, I gained a valuable insight into a working practice; I drew up detailing of doors to a public house. Understanding how to act sensitively to existing buildings, and expand my knowledge of drawing skills. Full employment record available on request.
