Powerplant have over 30 years’ experience of building generators for a wide range of industry sectors ranging from 10kVA up to 1500kVA and is made up of four distinct business units delivering products & services to a wide range of industries.

We manufacture a standard range of self – contained diesel generators in skid mounted, canopy or containerised enclosures significantly reducing noise levels emitted to comply with EC directives and below. In very noise sensitive area's such as Hospitals we offer 65dba @ 1mtr and additionally, custom built units are made to customers specification to meet certain footprint or awkward location requirements. Powerplant are specialists in providing bespoke packages to meet customers exacting requirements, to suit most power applications and our standard range allows us to offer very competitive prices. Standard packages are also available on quick delivery.
UK SOURCED COMPONENTS We use as many British sourced components as possible and our Controllers are from Deep Sea Electronics incorporating the very latest telemetry for remote access.
We welcome opportunities to work with, and on behalf of other generator companies in an OEM capacity and we build in any configuration to suit requirements, powered by internationally accepted engines ranging from; Perkins, Yanmar, Iveco FPT, Cummins, John Deere, Volvo, MTU, Duetz and coupled to preferred Alternators such as Stamford, Mecc-alte, Marelli, Leroy Somer and others.

New Sales Our Sales staff and Specialist Engineers are dedicated to providing customised solutions to meet the unique power needs of each customer on a project-by-project basis in both domestic and export markets. We offer comprehensive solutions from initial sizing of sets which results in considerable saving in fuel costs to concept design through to generator installation and commissioning.
Our technical expertise in specialist projects gives us engineering knowledge and a reputation that provides customers with complete confidence and peace of mind that the quality of their silenced generator is as good as any in the market and better than most. ‘On Load’ witness testing prior to delivery is always on offer to all our customers.

Our family of silenced PowerPlant Generators are used within the rental industry as well as standby and prime use applications. They are built to withstand most eventualities when it comes to providing many temporary power requirements on long or short term hire and all have stage 3 emission compliant engines and bunded tanks. The “PowerStream” range of super silent Rental Generators 40 – 100kVA are not just environmentally friendly but equipped with low level external fuel entry to reduce the risk of fuel spillage on site. Sets are available
as ‘Long-Run’ or ‘Day-Tanks’ enclosed in an extremely robust canopy with a very low noise level of 65dba @ 1 mtr which is ideal for use in residential areas, film sets and other noise sensitive areas. Highly trained design engineers use the latest technology to design generating sets and control systems to meet the exact requirements of our customers. This can be demonstrated through our generators, which have been designed with the engineers routine services and maintenance in mind.
EASE OF USE
Easy access to vital parts of the generator provides a faster service, cleaning or repair ensuring that downtime is kept at a minimum. Ease of use for all users has been paramount throughout the designs and features such as a 4” fuel filler neck and easy access to the diverter valve for switching from base tank to bulk tank make the Powerstream a really easy and accessible generator to use.

ROAD TOW
The Sub2T is a unique 100kVA lightweight Road Tow set which is highly mobile and capable of being towed by a smaller fleet of 4 x 4 vehicles to remote areas. Ideal for Utilities companies, the Sub2T can be adapted to be fitted with a switchgear – 3ph / Single Phase, incorporating quick release connectors if required.
Heavy Duty Secure Power with fully weatherproof sound attenuated and secure enclosures are designed to withstand the harshest of weather conditions including sensitivity to noise related applications which are all important features in tough locations such as Construction sites, Residential Areas, Quarries or wherever reliable power is essential.

BESPOKE
Automatic Changeover: We can provide stand-by power solutions with automatic mains failure equipment that will start the generator automatically when a mains failure is detected.
Synchronised Generators: Multiple generators can be configured to start and run together in synchronisation and load sharing generators can be configured to start and run together, either on site or remotely controlled, allowing extra power by sharing the load which also reduces fuel consumption. This will even stop and start generators as the demand for power rises and falls thus, only providing the power you need at the time. Typical ‘Open-Set’ within plant room.
Telemetry: Our extensive range of generator controllers has been developed with the user in mind by Deep Sea Electronics. Whether it’s a simple Manual or Auto Start Control Module or a complex Synchronising Controller.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT As technology advances, the demand for remote off site control of Generators is becoming more apparent from trackers to fuel and maintenance diagnostic management thus reducing downtime and efficiency.

Our specialist Engineers are not only well trained but are equipped to solve service problems and their vans are stocked with all the essential parts necessary to expedite a complete service and repair observing all the necessary compliances. In today's technology-dependent world, power is no longer a luxury but a necessity and therefore as a company Powerplant offers full support - including planned maintenance calls along with a fast reactive call out policy coupled with an active refurbishment programme through experienced staff.
