Q: I want to clean up my eyebrows but I don't want to look overly feminine, what should I do? Starting a clothing line is not just for the seasoned anymore. People from all age groups are showing the world what they are made of; through fabric. All it starts with is a desire to share with others the way you dress. That in return develops into something greater. It is always inspirational seeing young people taking over the fashion industry. Yes, the greats will have to eventually retire soon. So in the mean time an up and coming fresh face to the game is Jeffrey Lee Sawyer, a 25 year old graduate from A&T University and CEO of Htdogwtr. His clothing line is a ray of urban apparel catering to the young and hip. If you have seen the once popular BAPE or the new line Kidrobot than you have an idea of the Htdogwtr vibe. Jeffrey says the inspiration from his line came from being tired of people dressing alike. He

says his line is different because it is exclusive, bold and daring. His clothes right now are only available for order online. “I only make so many pieces, at the most on one piece I will make fifty.” The pieces from the Htdogwtr line can range in price of about $10 to about $200 dollars. He doesnʼt plan on relying on the internet for his sales for long. Jeffrey plans on opening a boutique in Uptown Charlotte in the upcoming year that will offer all of his scarves, graphic teeʼs, jeans, handbags and etcetera. " Sawyer is willing to take risks which is so critical in the fashion industry. I always hear people questioning about the name. Why is it spelled like that? What does it mean? Does it mean something derogatory? Well actually it came about from his childhood. He an his family would take trips to the park and cookout. He says that the adults were the only ones allowed to get drinks from the cooler when it was time to drink and that he was only allowed to drink water from the fountains. Jeffrey says that the combination of these memories added together made a interesting name for a line. " Jeffrey showing his support for the community is an awesome because many people when they come into fame could become selfish. But not Lee. Jeffrey Lee and HTDOGWTR showed their support “literally” for Barack Obama this past November. He made a special line of T-Shirts that he promoted and sold where 100% of the proceeds went to Barack Obama. In relation to Obama, he proposed favor towards small businesses. Jeffrey says that “If I help him now, he will help us tomorrow.” Jeffrey was also recently at A&Tʼs Homecoming. He had the chance to show the current student body what he is doing with himself, his and giving the students inspiration. At the same time spreading the name of the line. "

I

I am thankful to be given the opportunity to support the NO H8 campaign this past month along side my model friend Theresa Phan aka Karolina Von. Thanks to her for helping setting it up with Charlotte based fashion photographer, Nathaniel Pierce. I am really happy to be apart of this movement to support a big cause. For all those unfamiliar, the NO H8 campaign was brought about to bring awareness and hopefully turn over the decision of Proposition 8 a ban to same-sex marriages in

the United States. It was passed November 8, in California by the Supreme Court. Adam Bouska is a openly gay photographer and co-founder of the now very popular NO H8 campaign. Thanks to him, thousands of both gay and straight individuals, have been showing their support with the silent protest. Duct-tape mouth and decked in all white is the "uniform". You can get learn about to get involved and see who all have participated at the official NO H8 website; [www.noh8campaign.com].

In the celebrity world, Cher was one of my favorite style diva's. She made it acceptable to be edgy. One of my all time favorites is Marilyn Monroe. My body shape is a little more like hers and I loved her sexy style that still influences designers today.

less dressed Before I saw anything caustic, you must know that I support personal style 100%. I tell people to branch out and do your own thing. Not all the time when you get [dressed] can you execute a outfit successfully. These two subjects show how you shouldn't dress. Both of the sexes

represented here are less [dressed]. The guy about should not be wearing heels in public for one. On top of that they are almost knee high! The lady on the left has failed epically here as well. Her body type is not being flattered with the tight clothes. Your not supposed to see every ripple in your skin if you have more to love.

Bleigh Grubbs How long have you been doing hair? I started working in a salon four years ago, but actually doing hands on work, three years ago. What school did you go to? I attend Paul Mitch Academy in which i'm attending now for my masters license Tell me your feelings about Rihanna's new half bowl cut?? I believe she was headed for that anyways i think it would be more pleasing to the eye if it were a darker color with highlights maybe. Whats your tips for girls who want to constantly change their hair styles? Find a color and stick with it one that flatters your face. Just because her hair is blonde doesn't mean its for you with extreme haircuts like Rihanna or Cassie, ask yourself are you mentally ready for it because it takes more than just wearing a do.

You are Your Own Personal Stylist The Spring season is here and on us. If you have recently been out shopping on Black Friday than you may have dropped a good amount of money on clothes. Maybe as gifts or for friends and family. But I get questions all the time about "How can I shop for myself?", or "I need to have a personal shopper to help me pick out the right things!" The answer to those statement, no you don't need someone to always help you. I personally believe that no one needs a personal stylist If you really think about it, you know what you want to dress like. You see well [dressed] people on fashion websites like [lookbook.nu] or [www.thesartorialist.com] or even celebrities in fashion magazines. If you really want to look like them all you need to do are these two steps: 1. Have the funds to support the desired look. If money is an issue for you, find cheaper alternatives to what you see. 2. The correct shopping list in mind in order to purchase the "correct" articles. Go ahead and try this out for the upcoming spring/summer seasons. Gather 5 outfits total from magazines, internet etc. You must include the ENTIRE outfit. If you are trying to change your style for the next season make note of the articles that you already have in your wardrobe and that can be used. Make sure the outfits can actually be purchased by you. Keep it practical. If you have access to D&G's line from their last fashion show than so be it. For the most part you are making a shopping list. Once you felt you have fully supplied the list you can keep the pictures you cut out and saved for future references so you can use them as inspiration.
