A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

2014 was another amazing year for Dreamcatchers for Abused Children thanks to everyone who supported our cause, helped us educate the public, and spread child abuse awareness. We want to personally thank these individuals, groups and organizations for believing in our mission and helping us to obtain our goals. We could not do this without you!

In 2014, Dreamcatchers successfully assisted over 400,000 individuals from over 200 different countries. Our numbers continue to grow and the people, families, and organizations we have been able to assist is extremely humbling. We spent well over 20,000+ hours volunteering our time towards child abuse education, awareness, providing resources, recovery assistance, educational materials and community outreach programs. We voiced our concern at numerous court hearings and continue to lobby for harsher sentences for all child abusers.

We have had tremendous successful since founding our organization in 2006 thanks to our dedicated volunteers, supporters and advocates dedicated to being a voice for our children worldwide!!

DREAMCATCHERS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DIVISION

Domestic Violence is any physical or psychological abuse directed at partners, siblings, children or elders. Violence in the home harms everyone in the family. Children are especially vulnerable - If there is violence in the home where children reside it is considered child abuse. When they witness violent behavior between family members, or when they're being abused themselves, they may repeat the cycle of abuse as they grow older. As parents it is our sole duty and responsibility to prevent family violence and protect our children. If you are experiencing violence in your home, remember you are not alone. Abusive behavior affects every neighborhood, ethnic background and economic class...it does not discriminate. No family is immune, but no family should ever be a victim of abuse!

Our new domestic violence program was implemented at the beginning of 2014 and is directed by a DV survivor, Ann Livingston. She is working adamantly on educating the public on domestic violence, prevention, awareness and the steps to escape an abusive relationship.
