Georgetown Basketball has enjoyed more than a century of excellence thanks to its outstanding players and coaches, who have molded the program into one of the finest in the nation. This elite program has continued to produce championship teams, world-class athletes and memorable moments, such as advancing to the 2007 NCAA Final Four. In all, five Final Four appearances, 28 bids to the NCAA Tournament, 11 Sweet Sixteen appearances and 16 BIG EAST titles only scratch the surface. The program has established itself as a champion, and has grown into a family united by a great sense of pride and enthusiasm for Hoya Basketball. Established by academic, athletic and personal integrity, Georgetown enters the 2012-13 eason with more than 1,540 wins all-time, including 48 in the NCAA Tournament. Both are significant achievements that rank the Hoyas among the best in the nation. Through its commitment to its athletes on the court and in the classroom, this program will continue to produce leaders of tomorrow, young men ready to make a profound impact on the future.
