CONTRI DONARI BRAXTON Donari Braxton is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker and photographer. He’s received support and awards from NPR, SFFS, IFP, Film Independent and Berlinale Talents, and has directed commercials for such companies as Mercedes Benz and HBO. Recently, he was awarded San Francisco Film Society’s 2016 KRF Screenwriting Grant and Fellowship for his narrative feature film in development Above. KEITH MAJOR New York City native Keith Major’s love for photography and art began in his pre-teen years, when he attended after-school programs at the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Pratt Institute. Keith specialized in photography at New York’s highly regarded High School of Art and Design, and after graduation, attended the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. SALLY ANN & EMILY MAY Sally Ann and Emily May are a photographer duo, mostly known for a feminine and colourful aesthetic, a signature found in their photographic work. They have photographed campaigns for brands such as Adidas, Clean & Clear and Maybelline. Sally & Emily have also photographed for publications such as Elle, NYLON, Marie Claire, Hypebae and Aesthetica. A dichotomy of sensitivity and sensuality, this series creates a dialogue between innocence and sexuality rather than being two isolated themes; embracing the fact that women can have both. Flowers add an innocence to the exposed body, directly confronting the notion that female exposure is shameful and questioning wether female bodies are always sexual when naked. PETAL challenges the delicateness synonymous with womanhood and the gender stereotypes that need breaking for true empowerment of the female form.

Shot within two weeks while stopping off in Seoul, this set of photos explores some of the street and fashion culture that makes Seoul such a visually interesting place. The series features street snaps from some of Seoul’s better known locations mixed with fashion photography shot with some of the most interesting and alternative local models. Seoul is a city that has an advance mixture of culture, traditions, fashion, self-expressionism and amazing food, mixed with a crazy party and drinking culture. I learned, on my first night out, that “everyday is Friday in Korea”, which made me delve deep into Korea’s most popular alcoholic beverage, Soju. Between the hangovers and heat waves, I was able to link up with some photographers and crews such as Places + Faces from London and work on some lookbooks and personal projects. This small set of photos encompasses a bigger project that involved shooting in five Asian countries, within two months, for my next book entitled I’m fine today, a self-published venture that will be out early next year.
