key MATCHUP to watch Golden Isles v. Brooklyn It’s not exactly the high-profile matchup you’d expect, but the newly-formed ECAC leaves a lot to be desired in the talent department on paper. That is, save for these two teams. Last year, all the talent on paper had us considering Brooklyn a conference contender, and it looked that way until the wheels fell off mid-season. Golden Isles is defending ECAC champ, and they’ve got the proven talent. This should be a great matchup.
SEASON PREDICTIONS Biggest story this year will be whether or not Golden Isles can live up to all the preseason hype. 5-6 won’t do this year.
