The famous BCA Hall of Fame Gallery of Winners was officially opened. This is a traveling gallery of portraits that is open at every years National Specialty. The BOB and BOS winners from last year had their portraits revealed for the first time. They join past winners spanning over 60 years. Brenda Newcomb’s always popular Judges Seminar played to a packed room. Monday saw National obedience, rally and sweepstakes being judged. Judge for Obedience was Mrs. Pauline Andrus of Crestline, CA. High in Trial was won by Sittingbullies Glad Tidings CDX RE OAP NJP CA CGC, Gabe is handled by his Breeder and Owner Cheryl Knapp with a score of 191 from Open B. Gabe is a quite famous dog, having starred in a movie and various videos. Rally judge was Mr. Larry Andrus of Crestline CA. Winning Rally with a score of 96 was Chelsea’s Heavenly Shades of Night. ational Sweepstakes is nearly as anticipated as Intersex. Dog classes and Best in Sweepstakes was judged by Ms Lynnsie Shea of Bozrah, Connecticut. Bitch classes were judged by Mr. Dan Bandy of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Best in Sweepstakes from 6-9 puppy bitches was Imperious Hamitup Southern Bell. Breeders and owners, Suzanne and Rick Glover and Kelly and Rick Franz, shown by Kelly. Imperious/Hamitup bred and owned puppies have won National Best in Sweepstakes 3 of the last 4 Nationals. Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes came from 9-12 dogs. Creedence I’m Sexy and I Know It, breeder/owner Alexis Smith, Andrew Smith and Christine Uasike Evening hospitality, followed by a semi-

nar offered by Lisa Peterson from AKC, speaking on media training for Bulldog Ambassadors, kept everyone entertained. BCA Regular classes for Dogs and Bitches began early Tuesday morning. Dr. Robert Church of Tucker Georgia had the honor of judging National dogs. After careful evaluation, the Open dog was selected for this honor. Ziethe Hitan, Jr (Aguirre) from Mexico was bred by owner Israel Lorenzo Aguirre Aboites. Co-owned with Jack and Elizabeth Milam and expertly shown by Sergio Gomez Suarez. Reserve Winners Dog from 9-12 went to the brindle and white Cherokee Legend Cowboy. Breeder, Cody Sickle, Christine Pelzer and Knut Pelzer. Owners, Cody Sickle and Connie Chambers. Judging National bitches was Mrs. Joyce Dingman of La Luz, New Mexico. Winners Bitch came from Open, another Mexican owned bulldog, D’Toledo Lucky Girl. Breeder Alberto Toledo, owner, Fermin Mendoza. Shown by Alejandro Garcia Reserve came from 12-15, D’Toledo “Deluxe Victorya”. Breeder, Albert and Liely Toledo and owned by Felipe Gamboa, Bruno Freitas and L.Toledo. Shown by Eduardo Paris from Brazil. During the break between regular classes and Winners, we were treated to an “In and Out Burger” lunch, with a mobile truck serving the crowd this popular cuisine. Tuesday evening hospitality featured a party for the platinum sponsors, which included a drawing for a trip to Hawaii and then the beach partythemed event that featured a great band, with many Bulldoggers showing off their dancing skills. The Annual Council meeting started off the activities Wednesday morning. President Harrold McDermott innovated a plan to make this meeting run quickly and efficiently. Hopefully future BCA Presidents will follow this model. Simultaneously there was health testing offered to those interested, Dr. CONTINUED ON PAGE 126
