Rent a car

Renting a car is very easy in Jeddah, and you will find most car rental shops on Falasteen Road. Firstly, set a budget in mind, and try to find a car that will suit your budget. On average, the costs are as follows: Chevrolet Aveo (manual) costs SR1800/month Toyota Corolla (automatic) costs SR2500/month Chevrolet Caprice (automatic) SR5000/month Large GMC (automatic) starts at SR500/day

For car rental agencies, look them up in our General Directory, page 90. Fuel here is very cheap, costing less than SR0.45/litre. And most fuel garages give you a free bottle of water or box of tissues for every SR10! Can it get any better?!

- Upon successful completion of the above, you will be required to return after 2 days to collect your driving licence.

That should be enough to get you started. In future editions, we will tell you about the cheapest markets for furniture, the best places to buy air conditioning units from, where to buy kitchenware from and much much more!
