Alliance City Parks — The Department of Parks, Recreation and Public Land maintains 220 acres of land consisting of 24 parks. Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve — Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve, run by the Botanical Garden Association Inc., is a learning facility dedicated to educating visitors about natural resources, plants, gardening and the environment. Berlin Lake — This scenic watershed features nearly 8,000 acres of parklands maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Pittsburgh District. The park features a campground, boat launch ramps, hunting areas and a recreation area, but is perhaps most adored for its angler appeal. Berlin Lake fishing enthusiasts enjoy a vast population of fish, including walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, muskie, crappie and bluegill. Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center — Owned and operated by the University of Mount Union, HustonBrumbaugh Nature Center features handicappedaccessible trails, a boardwalk hike, a bird observatory and group tours. Robertson Community Center — Robertson Community Center features an indoor clubhouse, an outdoor heated pool, two volleyball courts, a basketball court and a children’s spray park for hot summer days. Stark Parks — Stark Parks, the park district maintained by Stark County, preserves a dozen area parks and sixteen trailheads. The parks surrounding Alliance, Deer Creek Reservoir, Walborn Reservoir and Molly Stark Park, provide parklands perfect for hiking, fishing and sightseeing. Molly Stark Park in Louisville was purchased in 2009 and is the site of a former hospital. The park offers picnic areas, hiking trails and open areas.
