Tell me what's happening now. (Agitated, restless) I don't know . (whispers). I don't know. [After another long unsettling period with only a few exchanges, Philip speaks again.) PO: I would just like to relax more. I would like to relax more deeply. AG: You would like for me to relax you more deeply? PO: Yes. I would like for you to do that. (Dr. Glomar induces a deeper trance.) PO: I'd j ust like to lie in the sun. AC: Let yourself sink . . . visualize yourself on a n ice sunny beach. wide, sandy beach. You lie on a towel feeling very, very peaceful. Relaxed, peaceful. Peaceful and relaxed. ( Long, long pause ensues.) PO: ( Whispering) I want some rest. I saw that dome again. AC: Would you like to tell me what you saw, or do you want to keep it to yourself? PO: Yes, a h. I saw it as a . . . sphere . . . and then all of a sudden I'm just really going towards it very fast, and it j ust sort of consumes me all around. There's light all around. And then I felt like I was traveling very fast. (Pause) I feel like I'm inside. AC: How are you feeling? PO: It's not as i f I'm standing. I'm j ust sort of being, that's all. I feel that there is a dome overhead and that one-fourth of it is hinged and it lifts up so that there is a wedge open. That's all . . . everything j ust seems very amorphous and things j ust sort of floating past . . . that's all. {Pause) But I do think of that scar. I feel like I shouldn 't. but I do. AC: Would you like to talk to your scar? PO: (Nervously) No. AG: Why don't you ask it anything you want to? PO: ( Whispering) I . . . don't think so . . . How do you feel about the scar? AC: PO: Well, I . . . it j ust seems so silly, but I see something like a . . . I almost . . . I see a hand. It's very shiny. But I don't, ah . . . see it really. AG: PO:
