The idea for this project page was inspired by Alex Tew's MillionDollarHomepage.com. His idea was a simple way to try to create $1 MILLION dollars by selling 1 million pixels at $1 each. It's a simple concept and it may just be simple enough work. Obviously there needs to be something in it for everyone to be able to actually work. You purchase as many pixels as you want, but they come in “100 pixel blocks” which measure 10 pixels by 10 pixels. The homepage of the website is divided into ten thousand of these “100 pixel blocks” which works out to a million pixels on the entire page. Anything displayed smaller than 100 pixels wouldn't make much sense because it would honestly be too small to make out.
