He has reached perfection on the wax molding “Montealban” technique. This is, making found idols and figures replicas. He is one of a few goldsmith masters who knows how to do it.

eing born in Oaxaca city, Patricia Benfield has always appreciated art. Due her father’s work, Patricia lived her childhood in different parts of the Mexican Republic. On her youth, she attended college at Puebla city. She majored on plastic arts. Being married for years and having two children, she combines her family duties with the designing of jewelry and with the studying of gemstones.

his project comes from the idea of combining dreams, creativity, experience, design, taste, and love for the gemstones. We are making the creation of filigree, a real tool. We enclosure a great millennial tradition of the culture from Oaxaca. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to make a fusion between current fashion trends and the filigree gold work technique. We are getting great pieces with an exclusive design as an standard outcome of tradition from Oaxaca. Thanks to the master jewellers support (which are just a few who remain working the filigree out), the ideas based on this technique could become true. As a result of our effort, we have been able to create items that are being considered to be, master art pieces. These, express feelings, and manifest beauty to people wearing them.
