Whether we talk about any individual or Enterprises/ businesses, all of us are focusing to get the latest technology. DT recently had a conversation with Sunil Kriplani, Senior Vice President (Global Sales and Marketing) of eScan, one of the leading security solution provider. We have made some prominent change in our products and upgrade our security solutions to add more value to our customers. We have made a much happier channel for distribution for our products and expanded in various countries all over the world. Lastly, this year marked our 25th anniversary in the IT security industry which made it more special year for us. DT: How are you currently working with your partners to strengthen your market position? Mr. Sunil: We have been a channel-centric organization from the beginning; we strongly believe channel partners are an integral part of our growth story. As India is poised to embrace digital as the part of the economic growth story, IT security becomes the backbone of every business. This, in turn, opens up large opportunities and demands for security products and solutions across industry vertical. We keep realigning our channel and product policies to increase channel confidence and accelerating growth. We see a great opportunity to channel partners to join hand with one of the

The secondary camera is a 12 MP 2x telephoto lens, with an f/2.4 lens. The devices come with an ultra-wide-angle 16 MP lens and a 123-degree Field of View (FoV), allowing users not only see wider, but also closer with a naked eye. With the Galaxy S10+, you can get up to 12GB of RAM and one terabyte of base storage. Its new processor enables up to 29% faster CPU speeds and 37% faster GPU speeds than the Galaxy S9. Galaxy S10+ will be available in 1TB, 512GB

and 128GB storage variants and will be offered to consumers at a price of INR 1,17,900, INR 91,900 and INR 73,900 respectively. The 1TB and 512GB variants are being offered in luxurious Ceramic White and Ceramic Black colours respectively, while the 128GB variant will come in premium Prism Black, Prism White and Prism Blue colours. Galaxy S10’s 512GB variant, priced at INR 84,900, will be available in Prism White colour, whereas the 128GB variant, at INR 66,900 will be available in Prism Black, Prism White and Prism Blue colours. Further, Galaxy S10e comes with only 128GB storage variant in Prism Black and Prism White colours. It will be priced at INR 55,900.

OPPO Introduces OPPO F11 Pro Smartphone with 48+5MP Dual Rear Camera OPPO expanded its F series portfolio of smartphones in India with the launch of OPPO F11 Pro. F11 and F11 Pro feature an ultra-high standard 48MP+5MP dual camera system, F1.79 aperture, ball-bearing closed-loop VCM, 6P lens, and 1/2.25-inch image sensors to bring more light. In bright light environments, the devices can directly output 48MP ultra HD pictures. In dark environments, F11 series’ “Tetracell technology” analyzes and combines the data acquired by four adjacent pixels to make it equivalent to a single pixel size of 1.6μm, doubling the size of the photosensitive pixel and shooting brighter and low-noise night portraits. F11 and F11 Pro are also powered by Ultra Night Mode and Dazzle Color Mode, which is, OPPO’s system-level optimization solution specially designed for smartphone photography. Xiaomi Launches Redmi Go Smartphone with Android Oreo Xiaomi launched Redmi Go device for Indian customer who are looking to buy new device under very affordable price. Zoho Acquires ePoise Systems Zoho has acquired ePoise Systems, a hiring automation product start-up for an undisclosed amount. Zoho’s forty plus business applications in areas of CRM, HR, Finance, Office productivity and Customer Service are used by 45 million users worldwide. They are available separately as well as under a single user license as Zoho One. Founded in 2013 by Sachin Agrawal and Bishan Singh, ePoise automates multiple screening steps for each role including a set of assessments leading to a video interview thus bringing significant efficiency to the hiring process for high volume recruiters. “The combination of Zoho’s global footprint and depth of product portfolio and ePoise product capability and talent will add value to our customers,” said Sridhar Vembu, CEO, Zoho. “We are open to such tech-focused acquisitions. We look for whether the acquisition plays well into our existing product portfolio, and more importantly, if there is a cultural fit at a team level,” he added.

Dell EMC Launches Isilon And ClarityNow Solutions The explosion of unstructured data is demanding new approaches and capabilities for organizations to unlock their data capital and enable digital transformation. There is no space for vulnerability as hackers are getting more and more skilled and can steal our confidential information. DT spoke to Sandip Kumar Panda, CEO & Cofounder of InstaSafe, one of the leading cloudbased Security-as-a-Service provider. He spoke over their market plans for future and their distribution model in India.

It is necessary today that every government or policy maker understands the threat possessed by such compromises and breaches and thus need to take up initiatives on creating the awareness through programs or training modules in order to combat and prevent such acts. With preferential market access being adopted in India, and Indian government working on Make In India indigenous initiatives, Defence Industry working on cybersecurity initiatives, it is definitely kicking off in India, thus following the trends from the global front. Such activities done in a sequential and periodic manner will definitely aid in building the environment to secure ones assets and organisations as a whole

HP and Andhra Pradesh Government Sign MoU on Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence

Sterlite Tech Now Home To India’s 1st Zero Waste To Landfill Optical Fibre Cable Plant

HP Inc India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) and Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) to build a Center of Excellence (CoE) for additive manufacturing powered by HP’s 3D printing technology. The CoE is part of the state government’s vision to accelerate adoption of 3D printing in various industry sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defence, consumer goods, healthcare, apparel and construction. It will be equipped with HP’s cutting-edge 3D printers that can handle short run production and functional prototyping. HP will be the key knowledge provider for this initiative and will bring in its global 3D printing expertise to support various training programs that will be conducted at the CoE. Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) will provide infrastructural support and enable necessary certifications and accreditations. Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) will drive and encourage the usage of the CoE by government departments, Defence and Public Sector enterprises.

Sterlite tech has won Intertek’s (us) zero waste to landfill certification for its optical fibre cable manufacturing plant in Rakholi, Silvassa (India). This world-class manufacturing facility diverts more than 99 per cent waste away from landfill, making it India’s first optical fibre cable plant to receive this third-party global certification. Earlier, Sterlite tech’s glass and optical fibre manufacturing plant at Aurangabad and its specialty cable manufacturing plant at dadra, India were granted near zero waste to landfill Intertek certifications for diverting more than 95 per cent waste away from landfill. Conduent started operations in Visakhapatnam in March 2018 and since then has significantly expanded its footprint creating more than 1500 jobs across its service delivery and operational teams.

Hikvision has participated in the third edition of the Fire & Security India Expo (FSIE) 2019. FSIE Expo 2019 was held between 28 February – 2 March, 2019 at Hall 4, Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai as a part of the Build Fair Alliance along with ACREX 2019 and ISH 2019. The event also hosted the FIST Awards ceremony on 28th February. The FIST Awards are annual awards initiated by Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI) and powered by Hikvision. The awards recognized the extraordinary contribution of End-users, Government Organizations, Original Equipment Manufacturers and individuals in the security, safety, firefighting and emergency response categories. At the event, Hikvision showcased a series of latest and most advanced technological innovations with AI Technologies, the signature DeepinView Series IP Cameras and DeepinMind Series NVRs. It will feature live demos of AI based applications for Face Recognition, People Tracking and Perimeter Protection. Safe City System structure with AI Cloud architecture was displayed.
