I was also curious to know if they thought a dancer’s bag was somehow different in its content than a normal person’s bag. Remus replied: “I’d say yes, because a normal person would not need what a dancer carries with him for daily work, like blasters for example.” “I don’t know anybody else that carries around tiger balm and foot roller” laughs Louisa and Sonny adds “... scissors, magnesia tablets, mini-golfball ...” Camille thinks different: “A lady’s bag is a lady’s bag. Every lady has some lipstick or a little perfume with her. And that’s normal!” In that case, I definitely agree with her for my bag is like this indeed.

In the end it is true, a bag is a small private and unique world for every single one of us. It contents our needs, thoughts about things and could also symbolize our emotional being. It’s a little mirror of our soul and personality. So we came to the conclusion that one of the ways to get to know someone better is also to get to know what one carries around in his bag. And believe me, Ballett am Rhein is full of personalities and bags!!  ———

Some people always carry special things in their bag. Things they will never leave their homes without. So I asked my colleagues: “What will you never remove out of your bag?” Sonny said he carried some special amulet for luck with him. But now he doesn’t anymore. Louisa and Remus never leave home without their documents. For Camille it’s the homeopathic rescue-drops she would never accept outside her bag! And it made me think that in my case too, I always have chewing gum and pen inside any of my bags.
