RESULTS FROM TESTING AT OHMSETT MOS Sweeper with pool and Desmi skimmer
The below table lists the recorded performance data for the tests with the MOS Sweeper, with the pool and the Desmi Octopus with a DOP200 pump. All tests were with CALSOL oil (ca viscosity = 2000 cP, Density = 0,92) and at 2,5 knots without wave influence. MOS Sweeper
Oil spills and potentially large-scale environmental disasters represent a daily challenge for the oil & gas industry worldwide. The MOS Sweeper technology consists of many well-tested principles from maritime industries. The V-shaped MOS Sweeper is designed to be operated from a single vessel. Towing with a speed of 4.5 knots, the design of the MOS Sweeper uses the law of hydrodynamics to recover the oil more efficiently and on nature’s terms. MOS Sweeper has proven its strong
capabilities in harsh weather with high waves and strong currents.
MOS SWEEPER 15
The MOS Sweeper 15 fast response unit consists of a self-contained 4mtr x 2mtr trailer that opens on two sides and is connected to a flatbed trailer, and can easily be deployed and in use within a matter of minutes. The trailer is adapted for all terrains, incorporating skis for winter and beach conditions, secure roof top hooks for helicopter transportation and quick release from the trailer unit for deployment to a vessel.
