Storia
Lapalma nasce da un’idea di Dario e Romano Marcato agli inizi degli anni ottanta. Entrambi provenienti dal settore della meccanica di alta precisione, iniziano a creare oggetti per l’arredamento per pura passione, inizialmente in maniera artigianale e, in seguito, con accorgimenti e dettagli che portano velocemente i primi prodotti realizzati ad un livello d’interesse internazionale. Le forme caratterizzate da un’estrema chiarezza creano un design privo di ostentazioni che sa imporsi alla mutevolezza delle mode. La collaborazione con i designers, anche stranieri, in sintonia con la costante innovazione, e sperimentazione che da sempre contraddistinguono l’azienda, si è dimostrata sin dall’inizio vincente per creare una storia che, dopo trent’anni, unisce varie culture nel segno del design.

Lapalma was born from an idea of Dario and Romano Marcato at the beginning of the 80’s. Both came from the sector of high precision mechanics and started to create pieces of furniture just for passion, initially handmade and then adding improvements and details that soon got the first products to the level of international interest. Their shapes are extremely clear and create a pure design, almost austere, free from the fast changes of fashion. The cooperation with the designers, also foreign ones, tuned with a constant innovation and research, has been generating in thirty years a story joining different cultures in the spirit of design.

La ricerca di nuove linee raffinate ed eleganti e l’utilizzo a volte estremo di materiali nobili quali il legno e l’acciaio definiscono il carattere accattivante di Lapalma che crea prodotti per trasmettere un’emozione grazie ad una estetica semplice, quasi rarefatta. Si viene quindi a creare una sinergia all’interno della collezione che si dipana come un filo rosso negli oltre 50 paesi in cui Lapalma esporta le proprie realizzazioni. Le sedie, gli sgabelli e i tavoli Lapalma sanno arricchire ambienti raffinati nel settore contract ma anche nell’uso privato per un cliente attento al design, sensibile all’impatto ambientale ed esigente dal punto di vista della qualità.
The research of delicate and elegant lines and using high quality materials like wood and stainless steel are the appealing characteristics of Lapalma, which manufactures products to transmit emotions thanks to a simple aesthetics. A kind of red thread within the collection is joining more than fifty countries where Lapalma exports its products to. Chairs, stools and tables give a precious touch to the atmosphere in contract projects, but are also suitable for residential use, for a client who cares about design, environment and quality.

Il processo produttivo di Lapalma si svolge all’interno del nuovo stabilimento secondo i criteri del sistema qualità UNI EN ISO 9001: l’attenzione è rivolta alla cura del dettaglio, alla perfezione delle saldature, ad un packaging adeguato nell’ottica di un miglioramento costante e di una efficienza rivolta alla soddisfazione del cliente. Lapalma si impegna da diversi anni a ridurre l’impatto ambientale attraverso politiche interne che coinvolgono ogni fase produttiva e tramite un uso preponderante di materiali riciclabili quali l’acciaio inossidabile ed il legno: inoltre una particolare cura viene posta alla possibilità di disassemblaggio dei prodotti che consente il riciclo separato dei componenti. Con una superficie di pannelli fotovoltaici che assicurano il fabbisogno elettrico giornaliero, Lapalma si assicura un’indipendenza energetica senza emissioni di CO2 nell’atmosfera. The production at Lapalma is processed in the new factory and conform to UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality Assurance standard system. Much care is given to details, welding, assembling and packaging with a commitment to constantly improve efficiency and the client’s satisfaction. For several years Lapalma has adopted a sustainability policy to reduce the environmental impact while manufacturing, also by using recyclable materials like stainless steel and wood. Moreover a special care is given to the possibility of disassembling the products when no longer used for an easier recycling of its components. Photovoltaic panels on the roof of the factory are supplying the daily electricity requirement, getting an energetic independence free from CO2 emission in the atmosphere. The environmental certificate UNI EN ISO 14001 is being defined.
Geschichte
Lapalma entsteht Anfang der achtziger Jahre aus einer Idee von Dario und Romano Marcato. Aus der Feinmechanik kommend beginnen sie aus reiner Leidenschaft, zunächst handwerklich, dann mit verfeinerter Technik und Detailarbeit, Einrichtungsgegenstände herzustellen. Die entstehenden Produkte erlangen schnell internationales Interesse und die extrem klaren Formen schaffen ein unaufdringliches Design, das den Wandel der Moden überdauert. Die Zusammenarbeit mit Designern aus dem In- und Ausland hat sich, zusammen mit der kontinuierlichen Innovation und Experimentation, die die Firma seit jeher auszeichnet, von Anfang an als erfolgreiche Strategie erwiesen. So entstand eine Firmengeschichte, die nach nun dreißig Jahren verschiedene Kulturen im Design vereint.

Tout les deux venaient du secteur de la mécanique de haute précision et ont commencé à créer des pièces de mobilier par passion. Au début de façon artisanale et ensuite avec des détails qui ont attiré rapidement l’attention internationale. Les formes très claires ont crée un design sans ostentation qui s’est imposé sur la versatilité des modes. La collaboration avec plusieurs designers italiens et étrangers, en accord avec la philosophie novatrice de l’usine, s’est démontrée efficace pour créer une histoire qui, après trente ans, allie plusieurs cultures dans le monde du design.

La recherche des nouvelles lignes raffinées et élégantes, l’usage parfois extrême des matériaux comme le bois ou l’acier, sont la caractéristique essentielle de Lapalma qui a su créer des produits capables de transmettre une émotion grâce à une esthétique simple et pure. Une sorte de code, un « fil rouge » qui relie les 50 pays du monde où Lapalma exporte ses créations. Les chaises, les tabourets, les tables de Lapalma sont capables d’enrichir des endroits raffinés du secteur de la collectivité et également appréciés dans le secteur de l ‘habitat pour des clients particulièrement attentifs au design, sensibles à l’impact environnemental et très exigeants sur la qualité des produits.

Die Produktion erfolgt in der neuen Produktionsstätte nach den Qualitätskriterien des Systems UNI EN ISO 9001: Um ständige Verbesserungen zu erzielen und die Kunden zufrieden zu stellen, achtet Lapalma auf Einzelheiten in der Verarbeitung sowie Perfektion in der Verschweißung und angemessene Verpackung der Produkte. Lapalma bemüht sich seit mehreren Jahren die Umweltbelastung so gering wie möglich zu halten, indem sie eine firmeninterne Umweltpolitik verfolgt, die jede Produktionsphase einbezieht. Darüber hinaus verwendet sie hauptsächlich recyclingfähige Materialien wie Edelstahl und Holz und legt Wert auf die Möglichkeit, die Produkte demontieren und die Komponenten getrennt recyceln zu können. Die Anbringung von Fotovoltaik-Panels, die den täglichen Energiebedarf decken, ermöglicht Lapalma, energetisch unabhängig zu sein und CO2-Ausstoß in die Atmosphäre zu vermeiden. Die Umweltzertifizierung nach UNI EN ISO 14001 befindet sich zur Zeit in der Definitionsphase.
Le procédé de fabrication de Lapalma se déroule dans un nouveau bâtiment, répondant aux normes de qualité UNI EN ISO 9001. L’attention est particulièrement dédiée à la précision des détails, à la perfection des soudures, à l’emballage convenable dans l’esprit d’une amélioration constante pour la satisfaction du client. Lapalma, depuis plusieurs années, a orienté ses techniques de fabrication pour réduire le plus possible l’impact environnemental dans chaque phase de la production, avec l’utilisation de matériaux recyclables comme l’acier inox et le bois. Les produits peuvent être démontés pour pouvoir recycler séparément tous les composants. Avec une surface de panneaux solaires qui assure le besoin quotidien en électricité, Lapalma est complètement autonome du point de vue énergétique, sans émission de CO2 dans l’atmosphère. Nous sommes en voie d’obtenir l’acquisition du certificat environnemental UNI EN ISO 14001.
