Betsy Medvedovsky

I've just graduated with an MFA from Pratt in Communications Design and am excited to be unleashed onto the world. In a prior life I did linguistics (first as a student at the University of Chicago then in Berlin at the University of Potsdam) and learned lots of languages. (I think if you google me under "Elizabeth Medvedovsky" you might still find some linguistics acknowledgments.) These days I devote myself mostly to design, but I can get around in Russian, French and German (and retain residual enthusiasm for Polish, Hebrew, Armenian and Italian). I work well with and against constraints, believe in the conservative avant-garde, and try to make work that's sincere, beautiful and smart. Check out my website or my blog for more of my work.
