The North Shore Bicycle Experience uses the existing lighting of the space, which is a simple warehouse style linear light set-up. Accent is given to the bar and display area, with specific lighting designed into the modules for ease during the pop-up tour. A well lit riding area provides safety, while the “riders lounge� benefits from dimmers to have a more dramatic viewing experience.

The North Shore Bicycle Experience brings the North Shore coastal forest to the pop-up through use of cedar and oak for the bike features; earth and mulch straight from the North Shore fills in floor spaces in the riding areas. Three large custom banners of a North Shore forest surround the riding area. All furniture modules use perforated steel to cut down on weight and contrast the wood textures.

The pop up makes use of temporary decals and signs to attract visitors. A north shore bike feature is doubles as a bike rack outside for visitors to use, giving passerby’s a glimpse of what lies inside, and breaks up the monotony of the sidewalk, creating intrigue into the pop-up.
