Katelyn & Brooks ORIENTATION LEADERS

“It’s about giving them a great first experience at Delta State. The students came before for a tour, but now they really get to become part of campus. We want to give them the best personal introduction to college that we can.”

Nicole

NETWORKING

“I’ve already set up a few interviews and I’ve only been to three tables. I think this is a great opportunity for education majors to get their name out there, which is what I’m looking to do. I’ve really enjoyed it.”

Jermario

TRANSFER STUDENT

“It’s been very pleasant because I prefer a quieter environment. Big schools are not really my type. Coming to a smaller school has been a very, very good choice for me.”

“Congrats to my alma mater @deltastate men's basketball for another win in the tourney! Keep it rolling!! @m_allbritton

vs STATESMEN VS FIGHTING OKRA We fight for the green and white at Delta State with two key team players. Despite some rowdy student objections, the official athletic mascot is the respected Statesmen. He represents the stature and strength of our 15 teams. The student-adopted mascot is the Fighting Okra, the most vicious of all vegetables. It was created by a band of students at Delta State and has since been strongly embraced.

STATESMEN OR FIGHTING OKRA. Which will you become?
