The Office of Financial Assistance works with students to meet their financial needs. The department can assist you with Federal and State financial aid programs, student loans, state scholarships and federal work study. The office is staffed with fulltime, financial aid counselors, so your questions will not go unanswered. In addition to the one-on-one attention you will receive from the counselors, you may also find the following websites helpful:

Career Services offers students a wide variety of career development assistance including resume writing, job/career fairs, mock interviews, career coaching, workshops, internship and job search assistance.

Student Employment Delta State University offers part time employment opportunities for students through the Federal Work Study (FWS) program and through Regular Student Employment (RSE). In order to participate in the FWS program, students must complete the FAFSA. Students may contact Career Services for employment opportunities.

Scholarships The deadline for submission is April 1.

Delta State University recognizes students through its scholarship and award program. A scholarship application is required. Scholarships and awards are available for undergraduate study up to the completion of 124 earned hours; summer terms are excluded. Note that annual renewal conditions must be met to maintain all scholarships and awards. Transfer Academic Scholarships may cover 50–75% of tuition. This scholarship may be available to transfer students with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.00. The award amount, along with state aid, is dependent upon number of hours, CGPA, and financial need. Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships cover 100% of tuition. This scholarship, partnered with state aid, is available to PTK members with a minimum 3.00 CGPA.
