rom 1998 to 2005 he was a staff photographer with Keystone Press, the biggest Swiss
photo and press agency. Founding a new business for drone photography back in 2010, Markus St端cklin now works as a freelancer. His great passion is nude art photography. I am a member of nudeART, a photography association in Switzerland. The goal of nudeART is to promote aesthetic nude photography. I have been photographing nudes for 35 years, but in recent times, I have moved away from photography towards painting. The first step was and still is imaginative bodypainting. I love the crazy, intuitive painting of the model. The sitter is fully abstracted after covering the head and body fully in a base coat of paint. After that I daub the models in different coloured paint. Finally, the model paints herself by spreading the paint over her body according to my instructions.

My paintings changed: I applied paint less thickly but as a glaze, the compositions changed from monochromes to squares - just as if the canvas was trying to mirror the real world around me. Surrounded by the restlessness of the city, my paintings developed calm and simplicity. Painting outside, I worked with polychrome layers of paint and developed complex colour fragmentation. seem to gain space in my paintings, and the layering is being sensitised by various colour phases. Six weeks on Lake Genezareth are reflected with the ever-changing shades of turquoise water in my colour expanses. I had never used them before and was surprised by my choice of colour. Later it occurred to me, that that had been due to the daily view of the turquoise-changing-to-violet lake. During the winter I travelled Israel’s to go up country.
