Oh man you talk about a beef machine loaded with beef, butt and guts. JRI Major Impact 254Z84 nursed a calf raising machine second calf heifer out of the powerful Judd Ranch 254 cow family. Major Impact’s super grandam 254R64 is one of Judd Ranch’s top donor females and this beautiful donor female is photographed on the top of page 35. Donor grandam 254R64 already holds Dam of Merit honors and her dam 254L53 has been honored as a Dam of Merit and/or Dam of Distinction female in every year of eligibility (’06 thru ’12). Commercial cowmen, you can’t stack fertility or production at any higher level and this beef machine should flat produce the scalebusters at weaning time and man oh man, save all his replacement daughters.
Nearly everyone’s favorite Balancer bull in the 2011 bull sale was Lot 194. Her baby sold as lot 208 last year and that beefpacker posted a 700# 205 day weight with a ripping 1,215# yearling weight.

A lot of cowmen will back away from JRI Powler 47Z46 ET because of his 107 pound birth weight but given his genetic make up I think that might be a mistake. Prowler’s donor dam’s 5 natural born calves have only averaged 78 pounds at birth and her fall 2012 natural born bull calf only weighed 79 pounds. Given Prowler’s dam’s track record for unbelievable low births and since he’s sired by Extra Exposure who features highly proven top 5% calving ease EPD strength Prowler shouldn’t produce excessive birth weights.
