LIFE THE HUB – RAOUL GILIOLI EXHIBIT Raoul Gilioli exhibits for The HUB his last three projects, dedicated to our own research to a inner identity through the myth of Roman Polanski's cinema, the gipsy skaters' street culture and the talking mirrors, metaphors of lives on Facebook. These projects, sponsored by DC and separately presented in important galleries and museums, will be exposed all together exclusively for The HUB, creating a unique path about the theme of identity. The exhibition starts the 28th of April and will last until 1st of June 2012. (opening days and hours : Thursday and Friday , from 12 to 5pm).

SKATEBOARD Danny Way came to London for the UK Screening of Waiting for Lightning. It was a great night. Lots of keen industry people turned up to see the legend and watch the film. SURF The Surf Experience in Largos celebrated their 20th Birthday a few weeks ago! It was a great night, with loads of surf media, brands, old scool friends of the camp and special guest DJĘźs and band Stringer Bessant (2 of the boys from the band Reef). They will also be celebrating with a series of beach parties later in the summer! Great to see these camps so busy and surviving the hard times!

The UK Snowboard Test was great this year! We got a lot of people coming and testing our boards straight away this year, and amazing feedback by everyone. The stand looked great and was always very busy. Fran was great and did loads of product review edits with the mags and clients.
We even managed to get all our boards serviced on the Butta stand, even some of our riders helped out.

FMX UK Big Air Jam, Wales. Next Wednesday we are helping support the UK Big Air Jam in Wales. 2 of our FMX riders will be there, also Kye Forte will be doing his BMX demo with him ramp!
AUTO Buttsy Butlers new car. Looks very sick!
BMX Red Bull Empire of Dirt The Red Bull Empire of Dirt happened last weekend, and went off! 32 of the best BMX riders in the world came over to Alexandra Palace to ride one of the most challenging BMX course of all time. The turn out was crazy with over 16000 people turning up to this sold out BMX event.
Kye Forte our UK BMX team manager, came up with the concept and pulled it off perfectly. With the help from the guys at Events 22. Check out the footage online to see how crazy the course was!
Ben Wallace a UK rider won the event with an amazingly perfect run, smashing all the big US riders. Ben wears DC but he buys them from the US. I have told him IĘźll sort him out but this guy should be on a global deal especially when he is riding like this and winning these type of events.

SKATEBOARD DC BATTLE – EVENT, IZMIR Similar rules to game of skate. Was really a very good event that brought together all the local skateboards. 48 skaters took part in the contest, and the crowd was around 200 people.
EUROPEAN VIDEO PREMIER AND PARTY – EVENT, IZMIR Same day at night we organized the Premier of the DC European Video in a Trendy bar in Izmir. After the premier, the party went on with DJs that we sponsored and equiped with DC tees and shoes! The bar was decorated with DC banners. Over 200 people attended the party.
DC YOUTHFEST – EVENT, ISTANBUL In may, we opened a stand together with YKM (a big shop chain that we sell to) in a youth festival where bands have live performance. DC shoes where displayed in the stand/tent and we gave away stickers and promos. 7000 people attended the festival.

SKATEBOARD In Bulgaria by tradition two skateboarding events take place on May the 5th and the 6th . This year DC national rider Vladimir Ivanov ''Gibona” took second place at the Collision Course eventin Russe and won the best trick event in Sliven. The DC riders Kristian Berov part of the “Young Blood” project, came second in the junior event for best trick and Alek Blagoev received a special prize for being the youngest competing rider.
The DC mini ramp is to be part of the Fun Zone at this years Elevation Music Festival in June.
