THE HUB New exhibit OJO x OJO by Gaston Francisco and Ruben Sanchez from June 8th to July 15th The exhibition, tilted OJO X OJO (standing for "an eye for an eye"), features artworks form both artists, and a selection of collaborative projects.
Ruben Sanchez was born and raised in Madrid. At the age of 13, he was abducted by skateboard and graffiti culture, and dropped out of college when he was 19. His only purpose back then was to be able to buy spray paint and skate supplies. He learnt design and illustration on his own, and moved to Barcelona 10 years ago. Gaston Francisco was born in 1978 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied journalism and started contributing to skateboard magazines 16 years ago, being a self taught photographer. At the age of 23, he moved to Costa Rica where he started the skate magazine Flow. FAR N HIGH REPORT The 26th, 27th and 28th of May, the 5th edition of the Far N High took place in the south of Paris. This year, the contest became a step of the Skateboarding Worldcup. DC Shoes supports all year long this indoor skatepark and of course the biggest event. Organized by this association. Like every year, the organisation changed the streetcourse. 5 tons of granit were bought to transform the skatepark into a streetpark. 112 riders were there to take part in the contest. DC Shoes had a strong presence with its riders on the streetcourse, My DC Crew, National rider, even Madars Apse and Thaynan Costa from EU team were there! Riders travelled from all around the world to participate in.
The contest was broadcasted on the Internet (around 175,000 viewers) and also live on a widescreen outside. The Far N High is also a women contest, they were 30 to participate in the contest, Leticia Buffoni the famous brazilian girl won the contest with a high level run.
The winner Tyson Bowerbank from the US, did an insane 540° bs flip. We also found a new rider for the national team, AurÊlien Giraud, 14 years old, ranked 4th of the qualification...

EVENT The DC mini ramp was part of the Fun Zone at the Elevation Music Festival 22nd -24th of June at the Dobroslavtzi airbase 40km outside the capital Sofia. Over 16 000 people attended the this years edition of the festival. Alll the best skateboarders in Bulgaria where invited to do skate demos throughout the daytime. There was also riding going on during the night.
