May 20-22  FRENCH LICK JAZZ FEST Jazz has a rich history in French Lick West Baden and continues today at the inaugural French Lick Jazz Festival at the Legend of French Lick. May 21  “UNROOFED” CONCERT SERIES “Unroofed” Concert Series: Featuring Nikki Michelle and the Cosmic Collective Band. June 4  CHALK WALK ARTS FESTIVAL Hundreds of artists, of all ages and abilities, register to participate in Chalk Walk around the Square in Jasper each year. They transform the sidewalks into a temporary art gallery by creating chalk and pastel “masterpieces” on their concrete canvases. HENRY HEINDRICHSDORF Beginning on Friday at 5:30pm enjoy two days of fun festival activities including games, live entertainment, great food, a beer garden and much more. PROCTOR HOUSE The Proctor House was built in 1832 by William Proctor, and was used as a store, stage coach stop and post office. The Crawford County Historical Society owns the house and is in the process of restoring it. The house is located on old 64 just east of Marengo; 812-338-2725

ROUTT HOUSE Built in 1832, Routt House was the first stage coach stop on the New Albany-Vincennes Trace in the mid-1800s. It remained in the same family for over 135 years, and has weathered the tests of times, including earthquakes. Besides the cemeteries, this home is all that is left of the town of Mount Pleasant.
