Moving Forward Together Since 1940, Dawson Community College has been preparing students for the workforce and continued education at the university level. DCC offers distinct advantages to the student that private schools and universities cannot. Move. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn new skills, develop your abilities, or get a great start toward your bachelor’s degree. Choose from more than 30 AA and AS concentrations, 11 AAS degrees, 4 CAS and 6 online degree options. Undecided on a major? Study general education core classes until you’ve made up your mind in an atmosphere that encourages personal growth. Forward. With a relatively small student body, you will never be a stranger on our campus. Meet new people from diverse backgrounds, build lifelong friendships, and find your niche. Connect with our faculty, who embrace the opportunity to develop working relationships with students. Take advantage of opportunities for internships and employment. Build a network of contacts and associates that will enhance the rest of your life. Together. Take charge of your college experience! Do not settle for being a face in the crowd. With a student to faculty ratio of 11:1, DCC students receive ample opportunities to participate in the learning process! Get involved in a club or organization, and serve on campus or in the community. Spend some time mentoring kids at the Boys and Girls Club or by coaching youth athletics. Give, serve, be active, and have fun! -Mike Simon, President
