Fred served with the 1st Marine Division in the Korean War also referred to as,"The Forgotten War." Fred sits in his chair every day on the small landing of the Ripton building in Shelton, Connecticut. "....... they lost all my photos when they moved me from Ansonia to Shelton,but what really upset me was they also lost my dress blues. They cost a hundred dollars at the time and I remember wearing them to a friends wedding. "
