Barcelona Pavilion Mies Van Der Roh
Using FormZ I replicated the Barcelona Pavilion for a precedent study on materials. The unique structure implemented beauty and strength. Thorough structural research was essential for the completion of the pavilion.

Jamaica Pond Bridge Tension & compression Spring 2009
This project encompasses a playful investigation to derive a form wrought from the strength of gravity. The use of a wood plank, cord, and body weight was enough to propose an idea. The construction of the process model was void of any adhesive. The parts were placed specifically to provide the tension and compression needed to form the elegant lines and powerful connections. The bridge materials consist of a frosted glass ceiling, a perforrated metal roof, steel cable, glulam columns, and wood plank flooring.

Jamaica Pond Library
community resource center spring 2009
The Jamaica Pond Library project was in continuation with the Jamaica Pond Bridge project. The space choosen for the library and community center is adjacent to Willow Pond. The site is surrounded by residential neighborhoods and parks belonging to Boston’s Emerald Necklace. The library houses books stacks, community learning spaces, group and private study spaces and outdoor seating along the pond. The bridge entering and exiting the library running North and South is part of a bigger nature walk created for the community during this studio project.

Harvard Biology Laboratory Building Renovation spring 2010
The laboratory is in the heart of the Harvard Sciences campus. This facility is a replacement for one of the oldest science buildings in the college. The center is comprised of 4 unique biolology laboratories, office spaces, lecture halls and an auditiorium that all surround the buildings 4 story greenhouse laboratory. The material choices of brick and copper screening for the main facade reflect the Crimson color that Harvard represents. The channel-glass box, which holds the greenhouse, emits an atractively curious glow representing the consistent search into the unknowns of our world that happen inside the building. This science center will stand as a beacon for Harvard Universities progress in the sciences as well as their dedication to modern architecture culture.
