Eric Vs Bill The "True Blood" Vampire Debate Heats Up on Satellite TV By John R. Harrison
Decisions, decisions. While there have been many significant television square -offs in the past, lately the biggest battle out there is between two of HBO's most popular characters: Eric Northman and Bill Compton, two of the campiest and best-acted vampires to ever grace television sets across the country. Played surprisingly well by Swedish dreamboat/established actor Alexander Skarsgard and British actor Stephen Moyer, these two vampires are a substantial reason that over five million viewers keep tuning into the latest season of "True Blood." And while there may be other plot lines keeping everyone on their toes--whether or not Lafayette is dating someone worthwhile or not, what stupid move Jason Stackhouse will make next, why everyone keeps leaving Tara alone in the first place--it's the love triangle and political sneaking around that Eric and Bill do that has satellite viewers glued to their television sets on Sunday nights. Just like many big-name television characters before them, the two most popular vampires on "True Blood" have their serious supporters, who will go out of their way to explain just why their choice of vampire is the absolute best. For those uninitiated to the experience of watching "True Blood," consider the recent history of pop culture and compare the choice between Team Bill and Team Eric to Team Angelina and Team Jen. Except this time, there's no Brad Pitt in the center of a fray, just a mind-reading waitress who keeps disappearing into dream sequences that for some reason involve frolicking in soft-focus. 4

While the third season of "True Blood" may or may not jump the shark yet-though with Alan Ball's extensive experience in the worlds of film and satellite tv, this is not very likely--it is anyone's guess what will happen with the two main vampire guys. Vampire Eric was the sole survivor of a nefarious wolf plot against his Viking family hundreds and hundreds of years ago, and while he may have seemed a bit sketchier in the first couple of seasons, lately things are beginning to turn around and he appears more like the good guy. All character attributes aside, women across the country are absolutely beside themselves with the tall and hunky actor behind the vampire, so it's entirely possible that at least half of those five million viewers watching "True Blood" on satellite tv each week merely want a peek at Sweden's most beautiful

more plot twists in season three than in seasons one and two put together, it appears that Bill might actually be the bad guy that everyone thought Eric was, and it's anyone's guess how the third seasons of HBO's latest breakout hit is going to manage to resolve itself. Some of her earliest childhood memories involve Michael Jackson’s Thriller video, the original Nightmare on Elm Street movies and reading Clive Barker’s Books of Blood series. From an extremely young age she was drawn to the world of the horrific and enjoyed exploring themes that were definitely aimed at a much older audience.

Although she had been writing and taking pictures for approximately 25 years (having started at the ripe old age of 5), she did not begin taking her own photography seriously until 2007. She then spent the next two years traveling to countless Ghost Towns across the USA and extensively documenting the urban decay in the city of Detroit. Each picture was taken with two thoughts in mind; to expose the hidden beauty within the darkness and as an outlet for her over -active imagination. In the summer of 2009 she developed her first illustrative photography series (The Post-Apocalyptic Princess, featuring model/costume designer Raechael Hardin). After a lifetime spent telling stories through the usage of words, she felt an overwhelming sense of joy and release during her first experience of telling a story with nothing but photos. She credits this photo series with kick starting her entire career and with sending her down the path towards becoming a Dark Artist. Only one year later, several of her pieces have been published and exhibited internationally & she was named the first ever Artist of the Month by Detroit area radio station 93.9 FM. Although she greatly enjoys her Fine Art work, along with customized photoshoots that she provides for clients from all walks of life, she finds Dark Art to be the most personally re6

What do you get when you combine tattooing, live music, piercing, motorcycles, and car shows? You get The Midwest Ink and Metal Fest, of course! This all began with a side of culture that needed to mixed into one so that many people can come to one event and have it all. People from all around have made their way to the fest to appreciate the artists and all the excitement that allows them to leave with a long lasting souvenier plus the benefit of making many new friends. The tattoo artists are well aware of safety hazards and are very careful when it comes to preparing those who are nervous and respects those who have questions. The metal fest also included extra events of like Carnival of Cleavage, The Captain's Sideshow, Nicole Moan's Ceramic Corsets, Teaze Dance and Fitness, plus the motorcycle and car shows. There were many awesome vendors like Darkfaery Subculture Magazine, Dark Cloud Barbies, Nature's Treasures, Velvet Monkey Too, Double D Salon, Oklahoma Victory Dolls Roller Derby, plus many more vendors that hold a variety of items for everyone. What I liked about the fest is that you were able to bring a piece of art that can be tattooed that is sentimental to you, plus being a part of the metal culture. I have an eclectic taste for a lot of things and this was my first experience being at a tattoo convention. I enjoyed meeting all the artists who have worked many years to be who they really are that makes other people happy. Shadowleaf~Joyce

activities and fill an internal void. that is not true for everyone how ever. I think there are two schools of thought on this subject. One is, that they are trying find exactly what I just described and the other is people who do this for the same reason that people go sky diving or bungy jumping. Who is in your team?
Suspension has become a sensation all around the world. Steming from native american and tribal rituals, suspension has became and art form and to many a rite of passage as it was before to many of the tribes. I had the privilage to interview A.R.G.O. Suspension Team Leader Rick Pierceall about the A.R.G.O. team and suspension in general. Rick Pierceall is not only the leader of the Tulsa team, but also one of the owners and tattoo artists at Karma Tattoo and Piercings in Tulsa! What is your team called and how did it come to be? A.G.R.O. Suspension Team. It is an abbreviation for anti-gravity relaxation organization. A friend came up with that after our very first meet and we all liked it. What got you into suspension?

I was introduced to hooks by me friend Daif Hahn. He is from Washington. He came to visit us in Joplin back in 2000. at that point we were only doing pulls and stuff like that. The next year a few of us went to Dallas for the first ever Suspension Convention Hosted by Allen Falkner of T.S.D.. I learned a lot and met some great people. I stayed in contact with them all these years. Namely Steve Joyner and Byriah Daily. Where does suspension originally come from? What we are doing now is western society suspension and is nothing like what has been done in tribal society's. You may find some folks who disagree with that but, I challenge them to prove me wrong. There are many cultures that did similar stuff. The Sioux, for example, and other Native American Tribes do a sun dance or Oh Kee Pa ceremony and it is a three day event that is all about prayer.
