SURVEY GOALS  The goal of the survey is to collect data related to institutional climate, inclusion and work-life balance.

 The results will help the University to better assess the learning, living and working environments – or campus climate -- for students, faculty and staff.

 The survey will help campuses develop or enhance policies and programs to foster a more welcoming, inclusive and healthy campus climate.

 UC wants a 30 percent or higher response rate achieved by every campus.

 Findings from all campuses will be posted on the UCOP website in 2013.

WHY PARTICIPATE? WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SURVEY?

Campus Climate significantly impacts faculty and staff job performance, health and well being and the learning and developmental outcomes for students.

Based on study findings, phase two will consist of development of strategic initiatives and action plans at the local campus level.

As campus issues are identified through the survey, the UCLA Council on Diversity & Inclusion (CODI) will implement action plans to address the most pressing needs.

Best practices will be shared across the UC system.
