Apartments at The Bookshelve

For my studio III final project, I tried to introduce an innovative and sophisticated approach to multi-family housing design. This low-rise apartment building is inspired by the flow and gesture of stacked books. Each floor is arranged in a way that creates a visual and spatial connection to the one above and below, resulting in a building that is both striking and functional. Located in the heart of midtown Atlanta, the building's design is a reflection of the neighborhood's energy and vibrancy. The carefully curated materials and finishes enhance the building's elegance and add a touch of luxury to each unit. The design of this apartment building emphasizes the importance of creating spaces that inspire and delight.

Each unit is designed to maximize natural light and views, while also providing ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The communal areas, including the lobby, rooftop terrace, and shared amenities, are carefully considered to foster a sense of community among the building's residents. In summary, this low-rise apartment building is a stunning example of designful architecture, elegance, and functionality. With its prime location in midtown Atlanta, the building is a testament to the importance of creating buildings that reflect their surroundings while also pushing the boundaries of design.

Woosah Grill

1100 South Hornet Drive, Marietta| S23 FOOD KIOSK

Studio IV was an exciting exploration of design and fabrication, with an emphasis on creating functional and visually stunning structures. The first project tasked us with creating a food kiosk, and I chose to focus on the beloved quessadilla as my inspiration.

My kiosk design was based on the triangular shape of the quessadilla, which I deconstructed to create a unique and eye-catching structure. I carefully considered the practical requirements of a food kiosk, ensuring that my design was not only visually striking but also functional and easy to use.

Throughout the process, I gained invaluable experience in design, fabrication, and problem-solving. I experimented with different materials, techniques, and tools to bring my vision to life, and I learned to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines. Ultimately, I was incredibly proud of the final product, which not only captured the spirit of the quessadilla but also stood out as a standout piece of design. The class was a challenging and rewarding experience, and I emerged with a newfound appreciation for the power of design to create meaningful and impactful structures.

RESTAURANT - FRENCH BISTRO

For this second project of Studio IV, the practice was to design the interior of a specific given restaurant typology within a 4,200 Sq Ft. space in New York. I designed a French bistro with a botanical garden theme. The bistro is designed to transport you to a green oasis, where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city of New York. The bistro features 16 dining seating and 11 bar seating, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a quick cocktail on the go or a leisurely brunch with your friends. From the moment you step inside, you will be enveloped in a lush and vibrant atmosphere, filled with a variety of plants and trees and multiple architectural elements that will make you feel in France.

The design approach is focused on creating a seamless integration between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The French style botanical garden theme is reflected in every detail. Understanding the importance of functionality in a restaurant is the key, which is why the bistro is designed with a practical layout that maximizes the use of space while maintaining a comfortable and relaxed ambiance. Our attention to detail ensures that every aspect of the bistro is carefully crafted to provide a delightful dining experience for the guests. In summary, our French bistro with a botanical garden theme is the perfect place to unwind and indulge in a delicious meal or drink. We invite you to visit the bistro and experience the magic of nature within the city.
