On behalf of the Erie Ad Club, thank you for joining us at our 2015 American Advertising Awards gala. Each year we gather to celebrate the spirit of creative excellence through the American Advertising Awards. We recognize the contributions made by individuals in advertising of all media types. These winning entries have been judged locally, and some have even made their way to judging at the regional and possibly the national level in the world's largest advertising competition – the American Advertising Awards. Tonight, join us in acknowledging the efforts of our winners and all the creative forces that make up our advertising community. On behalf of the Erie Ad Club board of directors, we thank you for joining us at this event and hope that you will participate in more events to come. MEET THE JUDGES
ALAN RADO

Chicago, IL
As an experienced creative director, Alan has successfully worked at major advertising agencies including DDB, DMB&B, BBDO and McCann Worldgroup. Alan has developed a wide range of award-winning work (including two CLIO’s) for leading brands such as Anheuser-Busch, State Farm, General Mills, McDonald’s, and GM. Currently Alan runs Adrado, a creative consultancy that helps agencies and companies succeed in growing their business. Additionally, Alan teaches courses in advertising, graphic, and digital design. He is also continuing his own education...currently going for his MFA degree.

Lisa's gainfully-employed design career began in her hometown of Toronto (eh) 20 or so years ago, working for both large and small agencies. Lisa moved to the US from Toronto in 2004 and continued the creative journey in print and interactive solutions, counting herself lucky to have worked with a variety of fantastic clients. She is currently art director at Jean Peterson Design in Frederick, Maryland, working with a creative team, collaborating closely with their clients to deliver mission-focused solutions. She has been lucky enough to be an American Advertising Awards judge for some awesome AAF clubs; Served on the AAF-GF board of directors; Served on the AAF–GF’s American Advertising Awards committee since 2005 (including co-chairing the event, twice,... It‘s that much fun!)
TIM KLINGER

Akron, OH
Originally from Central Pennsylvania, Tim migrated slightly west for his career in advertising. He began at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and upon graduation, found a job and a home in Akron, Ohio. Tim is now creative director at Kleidon & Associates, a full-service marketing communications firm. He has guided award-winning creative for a diverse variety of clients, with his work being recognized on local, regional and national levels along the way. An AAF member for most of his career, Tim has been an ADDY chair, club president (AAF Akron), ADDY judge and currently 1st Lt. Governor for AAF District 5. During his term as president of AAF Akron, he guided an incredible recovery of a club that was near failing. In real life, Tim is a proud father of one daughter and can usually be found in the wood shop, with a stick on the ice, with a rod on the stream or on the saddle of a road bike.
