And they’re off! Heads turned and crowds cheered as a stream of wild and whacky cars drove down Summer Street this week! The fanTasTic looking cars are taking part in the 11th annual ‘cystic fibrosis Great escape’; a family friendly, laid back motoring event that raises funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis. This year 44 colourful rally cars set off from Orange destined for Broken hill, then into Wilpena Pound south australia, before finishing in Merimbula after ten

This will be the 5th time local Tim Wood has entered the rally. “every year is a great adventure,” he said, “You’ll drive tracks that you never knew existed, plus you make a lot of great mates along the way. and it’s all in the name of raising funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis.”
cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system and sadly results in a shortened life expectancy. sadly, over a million australian’s carry the cystic fibrosis gene. funds raised through the Great escape are directed to research projects and support services for children and young adults living with cystic fibrosis. Jessica Chastain says she will don a red lip if she wants “to add a chic element” to her minimalist look. The Hollywood actress’ off-duty image is very different to the glamorous one she presents at work. The stunning redhead has a low-key beauty regime, opting for a slick of red lipstick when she wants to transform herself. “My look is very
minimal. I don’t blow-dry my hair, I let it air-dry and apply a little lip balm, concealer and mascara,” Chastain told to InStyle magazine. “If I want to add a chic element, I’ll go for a red lip. I love the feminine look of a black liner and a red lip – it’s very Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth. It’s my current favourite look.” The 35-year-old is currently the muse of the new Yves Saint Laurent fragrance Manifesto. Chastain uses perfume to help her get into the role she is playing, whether it is a Broadway production or a big scale film such as the newly released Lawless. “I always find perfume for the character I’m playing, to help me build an emotional connection,” Chastain said. “The second I put it on, I really get into the role.”
