Club Leader Award – Course Booking Requirements Introduction The Club Leader Award is perfect for people who take out club runs and would like some further training and development in the core principles of leading rides. The course has an engaging mix of practical and theory, with a simulated club ride and practice in leading different types of groups. For the more sporty groups wishing to deliver higher mileage rides. Duration: Option 1: 1 Day or 8 hours with classroom based theory, outdoor practical training and assessment. Option 2: 4 hours of homebased E-Learning plus 4 hour Practical Training and Assessment. Time:

Option1: 9am to 5.30pm Option 2: 10am to 2.30pm on day of Practical Training and Assessment is preferred. (As scheduled by Cycling UK).

Number of Participants: Minimum – 5. Maximum – 7. Cost: £139 per person. £877 per group of 7 participants. Booking: Please provide a minimum of 3 dates to allow allocation of tutor. Cycling UK will forward a booking form to confirm dates, cost and venue requirements. Participants will receive more details upon course sign up. Pre-Requisite Qualifications & Experience Age Limit: Minimum age is 18 years old. First Aid Certificate: All participants are advised to hold an 8 hour outdoor first aid certificate; however, this is not mandatory. Qualifications and Ride Experience: Cycling UK’s Group Leader Award is preferable. Participants should have some experience or riding with a club and supporting club rides. Venue & Resource Requirements The Course Organiser is responsible for booking the venue. The following facilities will be required for the duration of the course: Facility E-Learning Individual Access to IT Equipment & Internet Classroom Based Theory Classroom
