Activ8 | Athletic Camps Elite Lifting Camp

The Elite Lifting Camp is geared towards improving the overall strength of the athlete. Muscular endurance and muscular strength will be addressed. You will be taught a variety of lifts to achieve the goals. Coach Wachholz has worked with collegiate strength and conditioning coaches from the University of Wisconsin, University of Iowa, and Cal-State Fullerton.

FUN-Damentals of Golf Camp Do you want to be a champion golfer one day? Then FUN-damentals of Golf is a summer camp for you. Come to the CSU golf camps at the Mark Immelman Golf Teaching Center located at the Bull Creek Golf Course. Gain a deeper understanding of golf, and build confidence in your ability while having a fun-filled time with other campers. During the camp you will learn and practice driving, iron play, chipping, bunker play, and putting, as well as learning the rules and correct etiquette. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Bring your own lunch. You are required to wear appropriate clothes and golf or tennis shoes. Golf Camp (Girls Only) This camp is designed to give an aspiring young golfer a better understanding of golf as well as life skills. Learn and practice putting, chipping, bunker play, and driving, as well as the rules and proper etiquette of golf. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. You should wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen, as well as bring

your own golf equipment. Instruction will be given by CSU Women’s Golf Coach Brian Padgett, as well as team members. For more information call 706.580.9786. Basketball Fundamentals Camp (Boys & Girls) This camp is designed to accommodate all skill levels. Campers will improve their basketball playing skills and focus on the fundamentals and participating in different contests and scrimmages. The Columbus State University Men’s and Women’s coaching staff will provide instruction. Campers will meet at the Lumpkin Center on the CSU campus. Visit csucougars. com for more information. Basketball Shooters Camp This camp is designed to help players improve their shooting technique. Campers will work on three point shots, free throws, and shooting off the dribble. Softball Skills Camp Half Day (Girls Only) This camp is designed for the younger athlete looking to improve her overall skills. Campers will be grouped according to skill level. Lunch will be provided for Full day campers only.

CSU Cougars Baseball Camp The Cougar Baseball Camp is for both young and older players looking to develop skills, learn the game, and have fun. Players will receive individualized instruction and learn fundamentals of hitting, pitching, fielding, and team play. Players will be divided into age groups for drills and games. The camp will be led by the CSU Head Coach Greg Appleton and his assistant coaches Patrick Collins and Sammy Styers. Campers will meet daily at Ragsdale Field on the CSU campus. CHS Girls Lacrosse Camp This camp is for beginners to experienced players. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of lacrosse skills and rules while having fun. Advanced players will be challenged with drills, tactic training and intramural scrimmages. Campers will get individual and group instruction on catching, throwing, scooping, dodging and team play. All campers need to bring their lacrosse stick, goggles, mouthpiece and water bottle. Some lacrosse sticks and goggles will be available for daily use for new players (bring your own mouthpiece and water bottle). Campers will meet at the CSU intramural fields.
