Composed by Norman Campbell. Ballet score arranged by Alexander Levkovich.

Feel the exuberant hope and joy that Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne has brought to generations of readers … but feel it in a whole new way. This playful, fully-staged storybook ballet transports audiences to early 20th century Atlantic Canada and vividly brings this beloved novel to life. Follow the adventures of the imaginative, sometimes mischievous, Anne Shirley as she discovers her place in the world. With dazzling choreography, accurate period sets and lively storytelling, this performance is perfect for the whole family. As one audience member describes it, “If Montgomery’s words could dance off the pages, this is exactly how they would look.” Original choreography by Bengt Jörgen, C.M.

Aquila is one of the foremost producers of classical theater in the United States, visiting 50+ cities each year. The New Yorker says, “Aquila’s productions are beautifully spoken, dramatically revealing and crystalline in effect.” P.M.

Three-time Grammy® nominees Tiempo Libre are on a mission to share their Afro-Caribbean heritage with as wide an audience as possible. Listen, learn and feel the timba sway of their exhilarating mix of jazz harmonies, contemporary sonorities and seductive Latin rhythms. The seven members of Tiempo Libre grew up together – studying at La ENA, Havana, Cuba’s rigorous music conservatory by day, while climbing on rooftops with makeshift antennas to catch the sounds of Miami by night. Celebrate the power of the wind with this breathtaking cirque performance. With their thoughtfully engineered blend of artful storytelling, high-level acrobatics and fanciful contraptions, Cirque Mechanics defies categorization. In Zephyr, they celebrate the wind power we’ve harnessed for thousands of years and the machines we’ve used to do it. A giant windmill mounted on a turntable harnesses the power and energy of people rather than the wind as performers fly, balance, float on air and defy gravity in this exhilarating whirlwind circus performance. This is high-flying, eye-popping, heart-stopping amazement geared to blow away audiences of all ages. Their last visit here sold out quickly – so be sure to buy early! 7:30 P.M. The impossible happens every day in the life of the refugee. Minnesota writer Kao Kalia Yang captured that experience in her gripping memoir. Now Gaosong Heu brings it to life in this moving stage production. Told with the immediacy of the author as a young girl, born in the Ban Vinai Refugee Camp in Thailand, the story follows her journey to a new land and a new life. For the author, for her parents and for her grandmother, the story explores themes of home, family, opportunity, acceptance and obligation.

The often-imitatednever-duplicated Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain may have twice sold out at Carnegie Hall in New York, twice at The Royal Albert Hall in London and also at Sydney Opera House in Australia, but they’ve never abandoned their signature wit and lifelong passion for their plucky little instruments. The set list has been described as a “shopping trolley dash through genres,” and the result is a show that guarantees something for everyone. There is nothing like live performance – the collective gasp when a cirque performer defies gravity, the shared elation when the band hits that perfect groove, the emotion that ripples across the audience during a riveting theater scene. These are the moments that make live performance magical – the give and take between artist and audience is unexplainable, palpable and stirring. We’ve missed these moments. We know you have too.
