CITY & COUNTRY South America expresses a captivating duality. You can stroll the sophisticated, European-influenced boulevards of cities like Lima, Santiago, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. And also experience wild, remote landscapes like the towering Andes mountains, the dramatic glaciers and fjords of Patagonia and sailing around spectacular Cape Horn.

HISTORY’S MARK South America is a region rich in history, from a highly evolved ancient past seen in Incan cities like Machu Picchu to more recent events that have shaped countries like Argentina and Brazil. You’ll find history alive throughout the continent in European colonial architecture, tributes to figures like Eva Perón and Magellan, and other landmarks.

LAND OF DANCE Some of the world’s greatest dances were invented on the balmy streets of South America’s storied cities and colorful villages. The passionate Argentine tango, lively Brazilian samba and traditional Peruvian dances exemplify the sultry spirit and cultural traditions of these extraordinary destinations.

MORE ASHORE On a Princess® cruise, you’ve got nothing but time — which makes it the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries, reconnect with family and loved ones, and come back new. With the best ports, exciting excursions, and More Ashore late night calls, you’ll have plenty of time to discover the best of each destination while sharing experiences with those who mean the most. Top to bottom: Plaza de Armas in Lima, Peru; dramatic Grey Glacier in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park; the iconic terraces of Peru’s Machu Picchu; a Brazilian Carnival dancer does the samba; traditional Peruvian musicians; shopping ashore with friends.

COLOMBIA Equator

CARTAGENA The Spanish Empire’s influence is evident throughout the exquisite Colombian city of Cartagena — a maze of cobblestone streets, cathedrals and balconied houses.

RIO DE JANEIRO Perhaps South America’s most popular destination, lively Rio de Janeiro is as well known for its irrepressible spirit as for its lovely beaches and picturesque setting.

PERU

BRAZIL

BUENOS AIRES Argentina’s bustling Buenos Aires, the

boulevards, cafés, a fascinating history and a passionate culture.

ARGENTINA URUGUAY

MONTEVIDEO An unexpected gem, Uruguay’s Montevideo is one of South America’s most cosmopolitan capitals, with parks, historical monuments and Beaux Arts architecture.

CAPE HORN

PATAGONIA Chile’s breathtaking Patagonia is a landscape of sweeping grass pampas, unique forests and dramatic fjords, and of course, its trademark penguins.

The southernmost tip of South America has been luring explorers and seafarers for centuries. You’ll marvel at Cape Horn’s granite cliffs and unusual rock formations.

PUNTA ARENAS Punta Arenas is a former bustling port in the days before the Panama Canal that looks out on the Strait of Magellan.

FALKLAND ISLANDS The Falkland Islands have had a turbulent history. But they are a beautiful and fascinating destination, popular for their colonies of penguins.

SOUTH AMERICA CRUISES Experience scintillating cities and dazzling wilderness on a variety of itineraries ranging from 14 days to an epic 60-day sailing that circles the continent. See sights like Cape Horn, the Chilean fjords and the Falkland Islands, and cities including Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima and Santiago. To see even more, choose among three incredible Land & Sea Vacations. UNITED STATES
